Colorado is experiencing a serious shortage of veterinarians and other animal care providers, making it harder for pet owners to get appointments or find emergency care. Ballot initiative #145 will make trained veterinary P.A.s available to address this shortage and provide much needed services, including routine check-ups and diagnosing minor conditions, so owners can get their pets the care they need.
Farmers, ranchers, and pet owners in rural communities face long distance travel and extended wait times to access animal care. Ballot initiative #145 will make essential animal care more available by establishing the Veterinary P.A. position so rural communities can receive essential care from trained professionals during home visits.
